Member Spotlight: Bob Brady

Bob Brady has been vice president of lending at Idadiv Credit Union in Nampa , Idaho since January 2006. He started his credit union career with Orange County Teachers Credit Union in Santa Ana , California . He has worked for every different kind of financial institution—finance company, savings and loan, community bank, and large commercial banks—and definitely love credit unions the best!

He has served as one of two vice presidents for the Dynamic Delta class for all three of his years at Western CUNA Management School and was chosen to give the commencement speech at graduation last year.

Bob graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies and is fluent in Spanish. He and his wife Lydia reside in Caldwell and have eight children and 16 grandchildren.

Maintaining loan growth.

Best advice

Never forget that we are here to help our members. We need to do everything we can to approve loan requests.

Greatest benefit of Council membership

Access to the Listserv and the annual CUNA Lending Council Conference. I pick up lots of valuable tips from both.

Best part of my job

Helping those who truly need our help.

Hardest part of my job

Having to deny a loan.

Success story

We recently approved a small loan of $500 to help a member with a 499 FICO score to travel to a family member's funeral. It made their day, and ours!

Hobbies and interests

Music and doing anything and everything with my children.
