Call For Executive Committee Members - CUNA Lending Council

The CUNA Lending Council executive committee is pleased to announce the Council's call for nominations for seats on the executive committee.

Candidates for the executive committee must meet the following criteria:

  • CUNA Lending Council member in good standing;
  • Credit union employee having lending responsibilities in an affiliated credit union;
  • Committed to serving a three-year term;
  • Committed to attending two planning meetings per year and spending 50 hours per year on council work (time out of the office includes three days for the annual planning meeting and five–six days for the conference).
  • Sub Committee Chairs - Each executive committee member will be assigned to chair or co-chair a committee. Depending upon the committee this could be from 20 to 30 hours a year.

Full Executive Committee position descriptions will be provided to all candidates submitting the required materials.

Candidates interested in serving are requested to email a letter of interest along with their resume and a 100-word campaign statement no later than July 23 to the Chair of the Nominating Committee:

The nominating committee will then evaluate and present recommended candidates to the membership for democratic election. The committee will take care to present a slate of candidates that exceeds the number of vacancies and is as geographically and professionally balanced as possible.

The election will be conducted electronically beginning August 11, 2010. New officers take their executive committee seats at the conclusion of the 16th Annual CUNA Lending Council Conference, scheduled for October 17-20 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
